People that don’t suck at Blender: Any particular way to make hair texture .vmt files with $translucent that doesn’t make the characters look like they have alopecia?

Shit’s Fucked

Need help with a model port, can’t tell if it’s a texture issue or not.  I’m trying to port a bodygrouped Juliet Starling model from xnalara and I’ve got the damnedest problem that I can’t make heads or tails of.  Here is the issue, something weird is going on with the model’s hands:

I’d guess this is a texture issue except her is an earlier version of the model with that is using the same textures (pulling from the same material folder in SFM):

So I think it is something with the model itself in Blender, not the textures. That said, I haven’t any luck figuring out what the hell is going on.  I can pass along the textures and blender file if anyone is willing to take a look.  Help?

I need a SFM particle system that looks like steam escaping from a pipe. Anybody know were I can find one?

Scrub Porter Question

Is there anyway to write the .vmt file with $nocull and $alphatest along with a $phong line that prevents the model from then appearing transparent?  mostlyopaque is already baked into the .qc file.
