Help With Eye Textures

I’m getting this weird glowing iris effect that is causing a halo around the model’s eye and is also bleaching out the iris color.  Here is the .vmt file:

I think (guess) the .vmt file is probably fine and it may be an issue with the .vtf file for the iris but here it is anyway:

EyeRefract
{
$Iris “models\immigrant\yennefer\eyeball_l”
“$AmbientOcclTexture” “models\immigrant\yennefer\gambler_eye_ao”

$Envmap “Engine/eye-reflection-cubemap-”
$CorneaTexture “Engine/eye-cornea”
$EyeballRadius “1”
$AmbientOcclColor “[.4 .3 .27]”
$Dilation “.6”
$ParallaxStrength “0.25”
$CorneaBumpStrength “1”
$halflambert 0
$nodecal 1
$ambientocclusion 1

$SphereTexkillCombo 0
}

If anybody could help me out or shoot me some suggestions, I’d appreciate it.  ?

  1. digitalero answered: Check the alpha channel of your iris texture.
  2. leeterr answered: She is canonically blind, so it would fit.. heh
  3. ninssfm said: I think, but could be wrong, but it may be the Envmap line. Back up the VMT and just remove that since I don’t really think the eye needs an envmap.
